Setlist – 03/05/2013
In March, we celebrate St. Patrick's Day with complete performances by artists with drinking songs – playing Irish music for St. Pat's is both cliche and so every-week that it wouldn't feel special, y'know? This week, we're hearing an early 2000s performance from 90s sensations The Gin Blossoms. They left me cold at the time, but in the intervening years, I've gotten to really like their 90s singles, when I hear them now, so I'm looking forward to getting a little more intimately acquainted with their repertoire. This performance from March 1st, 2003 at the Canyon Club is freely available from archive.org with permission from the band here.
The podcast of the music we played BEFORE the live show is here – there ain't much to it, but it's a great 20 minutes, actually. If you want to hear that Gin Blossoms gig, click the above link. And as-per-always, we have a Facebook page here.
