Tonight, I bring to you the first Mother's Milk show inspired by the bands I used to hear at Revelations, back when that was a thing every Thursday at Twisters. It will not be complete, cuz' I only had the idea today, and it ended up meandering a bit and veering off course into other waters, but it's a fun collection of music, predominantly of the goth and industrial variety. First, tho, a track off of THE NEW HORSEHEAD ALBUM! Hopefully, it mentions booze. Let's see!

UPDATE: Okay, I would probably have bitched about hearing all this cliche, obvious shit, at Revelations 12 years ago. Except for the Bolshoi track – I can't ever get enough of that song, I don't care that I heard it basically every week for like a decade or something. But yeah, the first five songs or so are a litttle obvious. STILL AWESOME, THOUGH. Haunted by debacles of various degrees, perhaps – just perhaps – this week will be a return to getting a legit full-length podcast! Here's hopin'… either way, it's gonna be a blast live, so tune in, pour a shot, and prepare to listen to me play some tunes about getting drunk.

UPDATE: Hells yeah. It recorded! Missed the first two songs, setting up the recording because we have advanced to the amazing point that the soundcard cannot be accessed by two programs at once, apparently, so we're now so high-tech we can't record two things at once. I was bouncing all over the place while picking out the tracks for tonight, so it's gonna be an interesting clash of moods, I suspect. All fun stuff, tho, cuz' I wanted to start the year out solid. Won't you drink along with me?

UPDATE: In the immortal words of Hugh Grant, "Fuckity fuck!" And also, "Bugger!" Podcast recording didn't save. Or rather, it didn't record anything; I have a 200MB mp3 that's completely silent, but that doesn't really do any of us any good, does it?

It's a heavy-metal Shane MacGowan's Birthday Eve, tonight. Why? Because we can! And because it's not Christmasy! Except for the first song, anyways. After that MITGFS Xmas Xtravaganza, I thought you might need a little buffer before we went cold-turkey on Christmas tunes.

Starting out with this week's Sean Lucas picks, then we're gonna throw in some Hayes Carll, cuz' I was reminded of him the other day… do some other stuff, and finally head into some industrial thanks to Tommy from Dog Germs and close the show out with this months' Rum Doings, a week or two early (depending on how you count) cuz' I have other plans for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. After losing a couple of weeks due to hardware issues at the station, I finally got to record the show again, this past week. Then I had to work a lot and didn’t get around to uploading the show ’till now. But here it is! We’re back in the saddle, yo…

I haven't actually left TONIGHT – I've been on the air since 11, filling in for the Haberdasher – but I did leave last week, due to work stuff, so you CAN call it a comeback. You have my permission. Prepare to get mopey-drunk, tonight. I was in a "mood" last night when I put tonight's show together. I basically just listened to the first few seconds of stuff that I thought I might like to hear, and if it satisfactorily fit my mopey mood, I put it on my flash drive.
