Justin the Mick of Time!
If you got that reference, I award you two Mother’s Milk cookies. I burst through the doors at exactly 11PM, just in time to take over from the talented Talia and turn your tuner into a toe-tappin’ purveyor of intoxication!
Yes, another week, another two hours of songs about booze. I got my act together again this week (part of the reason why I was running late), so you get another 2 hours of new music, with a few favorites scattered here n’ there.

… remember when I wasn’t having musical guests, or playing my favorite stuff because I hadn’t gotten anything prepared, or doing anything but playing wonderful songs about drinking that I’d never played before, for a whole two hours at a time? The sparkling-clear corn-liquor-pure Mother’s Milk experience?
We’re back to that. I got all kinds of music, of all types, that I’ve never played for you before. I hope you’re drinkin’ for it. It’s gonna be grand. A lot of blues tonight, it seems, with the usual mix of punk n’ rock n’ AAA (whatever that is), a couple of different continents and nationalities are visited, and there’s just a bunch of GREAT stuff.
Thanks for listening, as always. Hit me up on AIM at the screen name WRIRAllNight or give me a call on the studio line. I’m feelin’ garrulous.

EXCITING NEWS!!! DJ Enzo just may have hooked me up with my first live in-studio performance… be sure and tune in around midnight, when I’m assured that The Boy Bathing will be joining us in Studio B to play some drinking songs all in-person-like and stuff.
Until then, I have a ton of stuff I snagged off of the new-rock shelves, and of course, my magical bag of inebriated chart-toppers. Drink up… and click ‘Read More’ to see the setlist as I figure out what it’s gonna be…
UPDATE: Enzo came through and then some – not one but TWO performances. First we heard from local dude Jason Hearst, who did two fantastically drankin’ related songs, and then we had a good thirty minutes with the delectable The Boy Bathing. An awesome time was had by all, many songs were sung with many references to ye olde booze, and through some strange twist of fate, Mother’s Milk played host to the CD Release Radio Appearance of The Boy Bathing’s new album. Available on iTunes as of midnight tonight, and in fine record stores everywhere. Thanks for listening.
I pronounce Mother’s Milk’s first in-studio live performances to be a resounding success, and I want to thank Enzo for setting it up,Julia for engineering the whole shebang, and Jason Hearst and The Boy Bathing for rockin’ it out on-air and playing some damn fine musics. And you guys for listening, like I said.
The Boy Bathing left us a CD, which should be appearing on the shelves in a day or so – if you missed them live, call up your favorite DJ and request it.
Tonight was a blast.
PS – I never asked Jason Hearst how you spell ‘Hearst’ so if it’s ‘Hurst’, I apologize. I spelled like Patty.

I swear, ‘Hooked On a Feeling’ by… Blue Suede? I think so… has to be one of the singalongablest songs ever. Especially that intro. It’s just fun.
But it’s not about drinking, so I’m not going to play it tonight. Maybe the next time I sub for somebody.
Anyways, tonight I have a… smorgasbord? Cornucopia? Vegas buffet? Take your pick. Tons o’ stuff of various and sundry origins. Highlights include… well, some Unknown Hinson tracks I didn’t get to play last week due to a mail-mixup are among the things I’m most excited about. He’s so great, and you get to hear his greatness two weeks in a row!
Also a lot of punk n’ metal n’ whatnot, moreso than the past few weeks at least. The show’s been fairly dominated by AAA-type stuff for the past couple of weeks for some reason. Not tonight. Tonight, we are all over the place, as is our wont.
Thanks for listening, and hit the ‘Read More’ to see the setlist as I remember to update it.
